fire/smoke dampers are designed for use in HVAC systems requiring emergency fire/smoke control. They can accommodate airflow in either direction. They are also recommended for use in duct systems or penetrations of fire-rated barriers designed to have pressurized airflow when dampers cycle closed during a fire.
